Contract Manager Job Description

Location: London or Manchester

Duration: 12 Months FTC

Salary: Competitive Salary plus benefits

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team at Smart DCC. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing our strategic, high-value, and complex contracts from signature to end of life.

The Contract Management Team is responsible for ensuring that suppliers deliver value, quality, and compliance in line with contractual obligations and manages in-life changes to existing contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Governance: Using operational reporting to hold accountable the commercial performance obligations related to SLA/KPIs, manage contract disputes, oversee contract amendment processes, and lead the contract closeout process.
  2. Contract Delivery: Managing delivery of contracts in scope, identifying and managing contract-related risks and issues, and implementing contract changes.
  3. Commercial Insights: Supporting commercial stakeholders with market insights from knowledge gained from contracted suppliers.

Qualifications:

  1. A commercially aware Contract Manager with experience in driving and managing governance and compliance of contracts.
  2. Solution-driven, innovative, cost and value-led individual with working knowledge of key principles of Contract Management.
  3. Strong reporting skills familiar with tools such as Jira, Salesforce, and Kanban.
