Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role

PSR Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in the Midlands and will be working on Residential groundworks projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist surveyors in performing the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
  • Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
  • Ensure all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure.
  • Assist surveyors in preparing and reviewing tenders with estimators and assist with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering.
  • Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
  • Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course.
  • Highly computer literate, including Microsoft Office, and confident in managing and working with large data sets.
  • Ideally 6-18 months experience, although graduates may be considered.
  • Residential Groundworks background ideally.
  • Professional membership of appropriate body.
  • Good data interrogation skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driving licence.
