Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team at Finsbury Food Group. As a key member of our cross-functional maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing a multi-skilled engineering resource and first-line maintenance to our site, covering both mechanical and electrical, breakdown, fault-finding, and scheduled maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance and breakdown support to all areas of the site, including all service facilities.
  • Gain understanding of the impact of facilities on the running of the plant, ensuring the site runs at optimum capacity through quality engineering, striving to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimizing downtimes.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement culture, identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce site waste and downtimes.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, apprentices, and production operators to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to ensure the site's manufacturing equipment is maintained and available for use.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience operating as a multi-skilled engineer role.
  • Completed apprenticeship, with appropriate mechanical, electrical, and control's capability (Depending on 'core' discipline).
  • Appropriate Health and Safety level of training and experience.
  • Ability to travel to carry out duties at other facilities within the group and customer base.
  • Effective communication, reporting, and decision-making.
