Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
RGB Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a prominent construction firm for a distinctive project. In this role, you will assume key commercial responsibilities including the administration of main contracts, management of consultants, and oversight of risk and opportunity strategies under the guidance of the Commercial Lead.
This reputable contractor is involved in a diverse array of projects, encompassing new builds and refurbishments across sectors such as Education, Health, Defence, Leisure, and Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and report any main contract deviations to the Commercial Lead.
- Deliver precise and timely updates on package summary documentation.
- Generate cash flow and turnover forecasts for each package.
- Oversee external, internal, and package risk and opportunity assessments.
- Provide commercial and contractual support to the project team.
- Assist the procurement team in developing package procurement documents to ensure streamlined processes.
- Evaluate, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
- Implement risk management policies effectively.
- Prepare Subcontract Final Accounts for evaluation and approval.
- Compile and present monthly Cost Reports.
- Assess the value of work completed by Sub-Contractors.
- Authorize interim and final payments.
Required Skills:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior commercial capacity within the construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, and change management practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management and valuation processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and project management software.
- A valid driving license.
