Position Overview:

As a Field Service Engineer (Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing a variety of materials handling machinery, specifically forklifts and related equipment. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in mechanical service and repair, offering an excellent opportunity to join a leading manufacturer in the industry.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm

Compensation:
Starting Salary: £32,000 - £36,000, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns on a range of materials handling machinery.
- Provide reactive breakdown support within the designated geographical area.
- Engage in extensive training to become fully competent in servicing all machinery and equipment.
- Ensure spare parts are stocked in the van for efficient service delivery.

Candidate Profile:
- Experience with plant machinery, forklifts, HGVs, agricultural equipment, or automotive technology is preferred.
- Proficiency in engine diagnostics and basic electrical skills is advantageous.
- Ideally, candidates should possess a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team environment, with no extensive travel or overnight stays required. Overtime opportunities are available during the week for those interested.
