About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at nLeague. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our executive branch agency partners by assisting them in the procurement of goods and services to meet their operational goals and our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply state procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Work with state government procurement policies for the purchase of goods and services.
- Maintain policy and adhere to code of Virginia standards for nLeague.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize procurement processes.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other databases and a state or federal electronic procurement system.
- Organize and maintain contract files and records.
- Work independently, managing own time and work.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role.
- Considerable understanding of Account Payables and Account Receivables processes.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Desired Experience:
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
- Solid understanding of purchasing and invoicing systems.
- Good understanding of reviewing contracts and MOUs.
