Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Malaberg. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety standards that protect our employees and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards to minimize risks.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices and regulations.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain safety management information systems to track and analyze health and safety data.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance health and safety practices and procedures.
- NEBOSH certification or equivalent experience in health and safety.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office and safety management information systems.
