About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Acute Mental Health Services team at West London NHS Trust. As an Inpatient Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients and carers, leading and facilitating your team, and taking steps to ensure the quality of care provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients and carers, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Lead and facilitate your team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent care.
- Take steps to ensure the quality of care provided, actively engaging with opportunities for learning, growth, and service developments.
- Provide expert advice to our matrons, managers, and directors on what is needed to deliver excellent care, areas for improvement, and strategic directions.

Person Specification
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment.
- GMC Specialist Register or within six months.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
- Excellent clinical skills in Acute General Adult Psychiatry.
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
- Excellent knowledge in speciality.
