We are currently in search of a qualified Access Equipment Technician to join their esteemed team, bringing expertise in the maintenance and servicing of powered access machinery. Candidates should be familiar with equipment brands such as JLG, Skyjack, Nifty Lift, and Genie.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, possessing strong maintenance and inspection skills for powered access equipment, along with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving, ensuring high standards are upheld consistently.

A CAP Licence or progress towards obtaining one is a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities of the Access Equipment Technician

  • Servicing and repairing a variety of powered access machinery, including specialized units like Cherry Pickers, Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, and MEWPS, on behalf of a prominent hire company.
  • Managing administrative duties and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and punctually.
  • Maintaining composure under pressure while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety regulations in line with company policies.

Essential Skills for the Access Equipment Technician

  • Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, preferably within plant or powered access sectors.
  • Proficient in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing access platforms as required.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Diagnostic skills.
  • Possession of a CAP licence and IPAF certification is mandatory.
  • A valid Full Driving Licence.
  • NVQ in Plant Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
