Project Liaison Officer

Clinks is seeking a skilled Project Liaison Officer to join our team. As a key member of our MentorMe project, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with criminal convictions to turn their lives around.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of potential mentees and existing mentoring relationships, focusing on our work with women.
  • Connect with individuals who have a criminal record, assessing their suitability for mentoring support.
  • Liaise with referral agencies to support existing referrals and obtain risk assessments.
  • Match mentees with trained volunteers and introduce them in the community or in prison.
  • Supervise mentoring relationships and offer ongoing support and advice to mentors and mentees.
  • Deliver mentoring training to groups of volunteers and assess their suitability as mentors.
  • Interview potential mentors to determine eligibility.
  • Build and expand relationships with community-based organisations to promote referrals and create new pathways.
  • Visit prisons to identify suitable referrals and establish relationships with prison staff.
  • Offer informed signposting to relevant support services and maintain accurate records on our online database.
  • Ensure data collection and sharing within the team, complying with GDPR legislation.
  • Develop relationships with churches to facilitate support for our work and develop a mentor base.
  • Assist with fundraising activities and support events as required.
