Job Opportunity: Process Chemist

We are seeking a skilled Process Chemist to join our team at Meridian Business Support. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Senior Process Chemist in the analysis, control, and maintenance of all wet processes/chemistry.
  • Contribute to the running of the water and chemical waste treatment.
  • Control and troubleshoot all wet processes (Chemistry).
  • Be involved in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes.
  • Maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure that water and chemical waste treatment controls are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Utilize documentation control systems - paper and electronic.
Requirements:
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in a Chemist role.
  • Logical thinking and a good application of the scientific method.
  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or another Chemistry-based qualification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent data and statistical analysis skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of detail.
  • Good understanding of technical documentation.
  • The ability to work unsupervised in a Night Shift role.
Benefits:
  • A competitive starting salary of £27,552, with the potential to increase to £29,232 after 6 months, subject to performance.

Working Hours:

Mondays to Thursdays, 12 Noon - 10.30pm.
