Your primary focus will be on ongoing improvement and cost-reduction strategies, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, local regulations, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Oversight: Manage the budget for the Manufacturing Engineering division, including site consumables, Material Usage Variance (MUV), and capital expenditures.
- Process Optimization: Spearhead the advancement and continuous refinement of manufacturing workflows and product configurations.
- Cost Efficiency: Commit to and achieve financial savings through ongoing improvement initiatives and lean practices.
- Manufacturing Vision: Formulate and implement the site’s manufacturing strategy along with associated infrastructure projects.
- Collaborative Development: Partner with Engineering and Program Management on new product innovations to enhance cost-effectiveness and product durability.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee Quality Leading Indicators (QLI) and the deployment of ProLaunch within Operations Assessment.
- Team Leadership: Direct and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team, promoting a culture of high performance.
- Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent credentials.
- Expertise in Lean manufacturing methodologies and Industry 4.0 principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with project management tools.
- Proficient in CAD, CAM, MS Office suite, and MiniTab.
- Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100).
- Understanding of product testing protocols and manufacturing fundamentals.
