Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Researcher to join our Research and Development team at AQA. As a Researcher, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of research and development projects, working alongside a team of educational assessment experts.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in educational assessment and research methodologies, with excellent analytical and communication skills. You will be responsible for developing and applying specialist knowledge to deliver research tasks independently, while working collaboratively with the project owner.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and apply specialist knowledge of educational assessment and research methodologies to deliver research tasks independently.
- Contribute to the development of research projects, including literature reviews, data analysis, and report writing.
- Work collaboratively with the project owner to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the educational assessment landscape and relevant literature.
- Ensure compliance with AQA's policies and procedures, particularly with regard to Ethics and Data Protection.
- Contribute to research impact and engagement through report writing and other forms of dissemination and communication.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- An undergraduate degree and a Master's degree (or nearly completed) in psychology or education, with statistical training.
- Knowledge and developing practice of postgraduate-level qualitative or quantitative research methods for the social sciences.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate research findings to a range of stakeholders and in a variety of formats.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
