About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Anson McCade. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in helping our Defence & Security clients achieve their mission by delivering technical solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • DevOps Expertise: Apply DevOps thinking to increase the speed, efficiency, and quality of technical solution delivery.
  • Deployment Pipeline Architect: Design and implement a project or programme's Deployment Pipeline to support the transition of application and infrastructure services from development to production.
  • Process Management: Support in defining and executing a balanced management methodology to organize technical activities into a coherent workstream.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with Deloitte and client development teams, IT service groups, and 3rd parties to encourage process transparency, mutually beneficial design and delivery practices, and a clear view of roles and responsibilities across the Deployment Pipeline.
  • DevOps Thought Leadership: Provide DevOps thought leadership and mentoring in advisory and delivery contexts, focusing on the requirements of our client's customers and how these are best served by continuous improvements to our delivery approach.
Requirements
  • Cloud Experience: Professional experience in delivering scalable cloud solutions on popular cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
  • Cybersecurity: A clear understanding of cybersecurity practices to secure confidential cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Scripting Tools: Implementation experience with one or more scripting tools and languages, e.g., bash, Python, Groovy.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Implementation experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
  • SRE Tooling: Experience in configuring SRE tooling for monitoring and alerting live systems.
  • Agile Development: Experience of working within an agile development environment and working knowledge of agile software methodologies such as Scrum, XP & Kanban.
  • Multi-Supplier Environments: Experience working in multi-supplier technical and commercial project environments.
