Job Title: Programme Interface Team Leader

AWE is currently recruiting for a Programme Interface Team Leader to join the Materials and Analytical Science - Business Operations Group.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to step up into a leadership role, a change of leadership role, or those looking to develop their people leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team at a local level to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely to meet operational plans
  • Assessing staff performance, measured against agreed personal objectives and accountabilities, and taking corrective action to improve performance where necessary via appropriate management interventions
  • The technical quality of the work undertaken by the team and/or teams through appropriate internal (i.e. with Subject Matter Experts) and external reviews
  • Ensuring that the work undertaken by the team is consistent with AWE strategy, policies, processes, procedures, and quality standards while minimising risk to delivery of the Integrated Technical Programme
  • Knowledge capture in order to maintain, share, preserve and protect IP
  • Undertaking other duties as reasonably required from time to time by line and task management
  • Maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player
  • Scoping, leading and delivering multi-functional and focussed tasks
  • The conversion of business data into required management information and high-level reporting
Requirements:
  • Awareness of corporate strategies and business wide initiatives
  • Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies that engage others and add value
  • Ability to set, and support others in setting, strategic direction
  • Excellent organisation
  • Proven track record of delivering with success and overcoming complex challenges
  • Understanding of how to present metrics and management information
  • Experience in managing a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Proficient data analysis and adaptable communication methods to reach and engage across the organisation
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Products
  • Experience of successfully managing high performing and motivated teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and able to communicate information in a clear and concise manner
  • Competence in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
