Job Summary:
Hovis is seeking an experienced Engineering FLM to join our team at our Bradford Bakery. As an Engineering FLM, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and leading functional excellence in a team of Shift Engineers, focused on improvements and responsible for generating and delivering capital projects/management for all aspects of material usage on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of Shift Engineers to achieve functional excellence and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance and repair processes, reducing downtime and increasing productivity.
- Lead capital projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution, to improve material usage and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services and materials.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate and legal standards, including personal safety, food safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the food or FMCG industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business improvement.
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair processes, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Experience with budgeting and cost control, with the ability to manage budgets and track expenses.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
