Our Acoustics team plays a vital role within Hydrock, part of a larger UK-wide group consisting of 16 acousticians and 5 air quality specialists. Responsibilities of the Role:
- Conducting environmental noise assessments
- Analyzing data and providing assessments for diverse projects
- Performing acoustic calculations using various standards and software tools
- Engaging in 3D Noise/Acoustic modeling
- Contributing to the preparation of reports
- Managing smaller projects (for candidates with prior experience)
Requirements:
- A degree in Acoustics or a related discipline (e.g., Physics, Music Technology) OR an IOA Diploma in Acoustics & Noise Control
- A valid driving license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Self-motivated with a commitment to adding value to the team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with data analysis capabilities
- A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
The Team Offers the Following Services to Clients:
- Environmental noise surveys and assessments
- Design reports at various RIBA design stages
- Evaluating projects against British and International Standards
- Engagement with authorities, architects, design teams, and contractors
- Attendance at client, design, and site meetings, along with site inspections and reporting
- Development of in-house software spreadsheets and design tools
- Construction of acoustic models using CATT, Odeon, Cadna, SoundPlan, etc.
