Role Overview

As a key member of our Commercial team, you will engage in various aspects of cost management related to construction projects. This team is responsible for ensuring that our building processes are both efficient and economical, encompassing areas such as quantity surveying, estimating, procurement, and material acquisition.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing commercial and surveying tasks for assigned sites.
  • Assist in the preparation of essential reports and schedules as required.
  • Handle general administrative duties, including maintaining organization in commercial documentation.
  • Learn and assist with subcontractor processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
Key Duties

Specific tasks include:

  • Updating cost control procedures as directed, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Compiling weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for departmental needs.
  • Contributing to accurate cost assessments for various site development activities.
  • Preparing reports on costs and cash flows using available support systems.
  • Assisting in the tender preparation and procurement processes for subcontractors.
  • Processing subcontract orders and payments using the designated systems.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to discussions.
  • Maintaining filing systems and databases to ensure efficient information retrieval.
Candidate Profile

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A willingness to pursue further education in surveying.
  • A valid CSCS card.
  • Strong numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel, along with strong written communication abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to foster internal and external relationships.
  • Self-discipline and good time management to handle multiple priorities.
