Job Summary:

The Vehicle Recovery Administrator will play a crucial role in the Vehicle Recovery Section at Northumbria Police. This is a customer-facing position that requires effective communication with internal staff, officers, and external stakeholders, including members of the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze incident reports on the force system to determine the appropriate action for recovered vehicles, including releasing vehicles back to owners, retaining vehicles, and requesting further information from officers.
  • Handle multiple enquiries from various sources, including telephone, online, email, and voicemails, within agreed service levels and quality standards.
  • Operate and manage records created by the role using specialist software, ensuring effective and efficient management of vehicles stored for prolonged periods.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to determine the best course of action for recovered vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
