Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

MLK Education Search is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team of professionals in a unique and exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference to pupils' lives at a new, trauma-centred, therapeutic school in Essex.

About the Role

We are looking for a confident and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work collaboratively with key colleagues to maximise progress and provide therapeutic interventions that aid children's emotional wellbeing and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, resource and prepare effective and engaging therapy programmes for children
  • Liaise professionally with colleagues as appropriate
  • Build positive working relationships with children's families
  • Ensure children are supervised and safe at all times
  • Plan, lead and deliver whole-staff therapeutic training
Requirements
  • Degree level, fully qualified and registered Speech and Language Therapist
  • Successful experience of working with children and young people in challenging contexts
  • High level of competence in both English and maths
  • Further relevant training or qualifications would be highly desirable
