About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to join our team at ABBA Voyage. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical aspects of our show are delivered to the highest standard, while also driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical production team to deliver a safe, efficient, and world-class operation
  • Manage budgets, contracts, scheduling, and resource planning to ensure the smooth delivery of the show
  • Collaborate with the Resident Artistic Director and artistic teams to ensure outstanding show quality across all performances
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and freelancers to ensure the best possible service
  • Oversee the planning and execution of equipment modifications and acquisitions to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Investigate and report on equipment issues or failures that impact show quality or safety
  • Provide logistical support for international shipping, customs clearance, and other technical requirements
Requirements
  • Proven track record in leadership roles across large-scale live entertainment, music, or festivals
  • Strong knowledge and experience of technical production functions, including health and safety legislation and regulation
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work quickly with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working under pressure, dealing with multiple challenges at the same time
  • Competence and confidence to lead, coach, and nurture talent
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
