Deputy Head of School Opportunity

Joseph Norton Academy, a special academy dedicated to educating children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join its team as Deputy Head of School.

About the Role

The Deputy Head of School will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational development of the school, leading and supporting the talented team, recruiting and inducting new members of staff, and ensuring that all pupils access a high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head to provide strategic direction for the school
  • Lead and support the school team to improve teaching and learning
  • Recruit and induct new staff members
  • Ensure inclusive and stimulating learning environments
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Education or a related field
  • Commitment to inclusivity and diversity
  • Ability to educate others on best practices in teaching and learning methodologies
