About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pharmacy Clinical Assistant to join our Clinical Pharmacy team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, efficient, and effective pharmaceutical service to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision of a comprehensive ward-based clinical service, ensuring timely dispensing of medications for patients.
- Ensure safe and secure transfer of medication to other wards within the hospital, and assess patients' own medication for safe use.
- Develop key working relationships with Emergency Floor staff, including doctors, nurses, and clerical officers, as well as the general clinical pharmacy team and stock distribution team.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2
- Able to prioritize own workload
- Can work as part of a team
- Desirable: Module 1 Pods & Transcriptions, Hospital pharmacy experience
