Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students with SEN, using a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to parents, carers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's education and well-being.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A relevant degree in Education or a related field.
- Additional qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with students with SEN.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills to manage and adapt lesson plans effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
