Power Platform Governance Expert

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Specialist to join our team at Laing O'Rourke. As a Power Platform Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing and evolving Power Platform governance, including application life cycle management, development standards, guidelines, and guardrails.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Establish and maintain Power Platform governance, including application life cycle management, development standards, guidelines, and guardrails.
  • Identify opportunities to extend the Power Platform toolset and components to meet business requirements.
  • Provide design assurance for visualizations built by product development teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with Microsoft releases and identify opportunities to leverage within the business.

**Additional Responsibilities**

  • Manage Power BI and Power Platform Admin Portals, including settings, creation, and management of Power BI workspaces and Power Platform environments.
  • Manage on-premise data gateways, data sources, and premium capacity usage.

**Requirements**

  • Extensive experience across the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Experience driving and supporting adoption of the Power Platform within a large organization.
  • Extensive experience with Power BI data flow, dataset, report, and app development and support.
  • Experience developing new Power Apps model and canvas-driven apps, including the use of Dataverse as a data source.
  • Automating business processes with Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Experience with API or REST services integrations.
  • Good working knowledge of DAX and SQL.
  • Azure Platform knowledge is welcomed.
  • Experience working on agile projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex business requirements into solid advice.

**Desired Qualifications**

  • Microsoft Certified and/or undergraduate degree in a related field.
