Job Title: Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining control system software and associated documentation.

About the Role:
  • Develop and maintain control system software (C/C++ for embedded systems) and associated documentation.
  • Provide software development and test capability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support the development of software and integration activities for solutions, products, and systems within the maritime domain.
  • Independently manage control system development activities within a wider multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Proven ability with automation or robotic systems.
  • Solid understanding of open system architectures and principles.
  • Understanding of engineering lifecycle processes and tools.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and critically review results and methods to ensure quality.
Desirable Skills:
  • Matlab or Simulink.
  • Requirements management (DOORS).
  • UML/Enterprise Architect for system design.
  • Exposure to AI/ML techniques and methodologies.
  • Exposure to IEC 61508 or equivalent.
  • Rockwell PLC programming (Studio 5000) or other PLC.
  • Atlassian Toolset.
  • Communication protocols (CANBus, Ethernet/IP, RS485).
  • Python.
  • ISO 9001 and TickITplus standards.
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to undergo SC Clearance.
