Position Overview

Blue Water Recruitment Limited is seeking a qualified Laboratory Supervisor to oversee health and safety protocols within a prominent housing development organization.

The successful candidate will primarily operate from the Swansea office while managing multiple project sites across South Wales and England.

Key Responsibilities

The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all safety systems and plans adhere to the necessary safety regulations. The role includes:

  • Facilitating discussions on safety matters during project review meetings.
  • Providing guidance and support to personnel in establishing and maintaining effective safety systems.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records to meet internal audit requirements.
  • Assisting project managers with safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Promoting a culture of health and safety management throughout the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory health and safety regulations on all projects.
  • Conducting site safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Recognizing areas for improvement and reporting issues to the project team.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of accident reporting and inspections.
  • Performing safety audits to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Previous experience in a health and safety advisory or managerial role within the construction sector.
  • The ability to deliver health and safety training to site personnel.
  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • A valid CSCS card.
