Job Summary:

Contract Personnel Limited is seeking a skilled TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator/Plater to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints and select appropriate tools and metals for various projects.
  • Measure and assemble metal pieces, using cutting tools and determining gas ratios as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and prepare metals and work surfaces for safe and effective assembly.
  • Train and mentor welding apprentices and new recruits.
  • Clean and inspect welding equipment and tools regularly.
  • Operate cranes and other machinery to transport materials to welding work sites.
  • Test the strength of each join during and after project completion.

Requirements:

  • A completed apprenticeship or vocational training in welding.
  • A relevant certificate from a welding association may be required.
  • A sound understanding of welding safety procedures.
  • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 07:00-16:00, Friday: 07:00-13:00
