Warehouse Associate


Our client, a reputable manufacturing organization, is currently in search of a temporary Warehouse Associate to become a part of their dynamic team.


The ideal candidate should be ready to commence work promptly, with the possibility of extending the assignment based on performance and business needs.


We are looking for individuals who possess computer skills and have prior experience in a warehouse setting. A Full UK Driving Licence is preferred.


Role Overview:


Reporting directly to the Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for the handling and packaging of stock and finished products. Your role will involve supporting daily performance indicators and collaborating with the team to foster continuous improvement aligned with the company's future goals. You will also be tasked with ensuring the timely dispatch of goods to customers and the receipt of materials, all while demonstrating the ability to work independently.


Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve results through effective communication with your team leader and participation in ongoing improvement initiatives within the warehouse environment, adhering to quality standards and company policies.
  • Maintain workflow by following established processes, utilizing resources efficiently, and reporting any operational issues that may arise.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and communicate any challenges that may impact your productivity, working collaboratively to meet daily targets.

Quality Assurance & Safety:

  • Deliver quality service by adhering to established standards and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Monitor quality control points and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent non-conformance.
  • Operate equipment safely and be open to learning new techniques and tools.
  • Ensure you are adequately trained to meet health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times when required.

Warehouse Systems & Data Management:

  • Engage in change programs and new procedures as required.
  • Ensure that all materials used meet specifications and are suitable for their intended purpose.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and system entries as necessary.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in lean manufacturing workshops and training sessions to support the company's continuous improvement objectives.
  • Contribute to team success by achieving daily targets and enhancing efficiency through collaboration and support of colleagues.
