Job Title: Head of Tax and Partnership Accounts

Career Legal is seeking an experienced professional to join our client's team as Head of Tax and Partnership Accounts. This role will be responsible for leading the firm's tax and partnership accounts function, working closely with the US tax team to ensure compliance with all tax matters and global partnership accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • BEPS Pillar Two Compliance: Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with BEPS Pillar Two regulations.
  • Inter-Company Invoicing: Manage the issuance of inter-company invoices for re-charges and income recognition.
  • Global Tax Reporting: Liaise with the Firm's NY tax team to ensure accurate and timely global tax reporting and compliance.
  • US Foreign Tax Credit Reporting: Collaborate with the Firm's NY tax team to ensure accurate and timely US foreign tax credit reporting.
  • Tax Structuring: Analyze the firm's entity and tax structure to advise on efficient tax structuring.
  • Partner Tax Reserves: Maintain non-US partners' tax reserves for review by the US Tax Team.
  • Global Partner Income Models: Develop and maintain global models of partner income and distribution.
  • External Relationships: Manage relationships with external professional advisers, lead tax partners, and local tax authorities as needed.
  • Tax Legislation Monitoring: Proactively monitor changes in tax legislation and advise the business on appropriate actions.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
  • International Law Firm Experience: Proven experience working in an international law firm.
  • US, UK, and Foreign Tax Knowledge: Strong knowledge of US, UK, and foreign tax laws and regulations.
  • Transfer Pricing Experience: Good experience with transfer pricing required.
  • Multi-Currency Environment: Ability to work in a multi-currency environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and influence executive-level stakeholder decisions.
  • Cost and Balance Sheet Accounting: Understanding of costs and balance sheet accounting.
