Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to the Financial Reporting Manager and is essential for the efficient accounting of various fund structures.
Role Overview:
The primary objective of this position is to manage the daily accounting operations of fund entities under the guidance of the Financial Reporting Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive bookkeeping for a diverse array of funds, management entities, and related structures while collaborating with clients and intermediaries as required.
- Execute all facets of accounting tasks for a designated portfolio of fund structures, which includes the preparation, reconciliation, and verification of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and addressing ad-hoc investor inquiries.
- Address routine audit inquiries efficiently.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and compile supporting documentation for all transactions.
- Ensure precise record-keeping on eFront and Microsoft Excel working papers for all accounting aspects.
- Manage the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax submissions.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff under the oversight of senior personnel.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Candidates should be part-qualified with a relevant professional certification, ideally having started ACCA Professional level or ACA Advanced level.
- Previous experience in the industry is essential.
- Strong background in financial services is expected, supported through the Aztec Academy.
- Proficiency in computer skills is crucial.
