Forge Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forge Operator to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting with the safe forging of products in line with all specifications to ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Adhere to all safety and quality processes and procedures.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping are consistently met.
- Input new programmes and modify existing programmes on computer controls.
- Organise die and tool storage and heating of dies in readiness for production.
- Undertake fettling, painting of billets, and shotblasting duties.
- Carry out repairs to dies and tools during production.
- Ensure customer specifications are achieved.
- Undertake forge inspection.
- Brand and record part and serial numbers or other required numbers.
- Clean the pits and painting work areas as required.
- Assist with the successful introduction of new/modified parts.
- Experience of working in a heavy industrial or engineering environment.
- Flexible working attitude towards duties and hours.
- Adaptable, reliable, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused attitude.
