We are currently seeking a General Foreman to be part of our utilities division at Kier Group, focusing on projects within the Thames Valley area.

Location: Various sites in the Thames Valley region.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will oversee our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP). You will work closely with the project team to ensure that all MEICA and process commissioning tasks are meticulously planned and executed according to established standards and in alignment with the accepted commissioning strategy and inspection and test plans (ITPs).

Primary Duties Include:

  • Ensuring safety protocols are followed on-site, including conducting inductions and effective Toolbox Talks, Daily Task Briefings, and Point of Work assessments for Site Operatives.
  • Assigning responsibilities to Site Operatives.
  • Supervising Site Operatives and their activities to confirm that tasks are performed within their skill set and expertise.
  • Coordinating with Line Managers to implement work methods that are technically sound, safe, economically viable, and feasible, while advising on any factors that may affect the contract schedule.
  • Maintaining daily records of site activities and collaborating with Line Managers to compile information for progress reports.

Candidate Profile:

This position is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • A solid understanding and practical experience in the setup and daily management of a construction site.
  • NVQ Level 1/2 qualifications.
  • A valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Supervisor - Gold, Experienced Supervisor, or Manager.
