Science Solutions Recruitment is seeking a temporary Quality Control Analyst for a prominent player in the chemicals and polymers sector.
In this role, you will be tasked with delivering expert analysis to bolster manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to all relevant specifications and standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process evaluations, and final product assessments, alongside the evaluation and validation of data and the calibration and upkeep of various instruments.
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess prior industrial experience as a technician or QC analyst within the manufacturing domain, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of testing methodologies. We are also keen to connect with graduates in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Materials Science who are looking to embark on a career in quality control within the polymers field.
Upon full qualification, you will be engaged in a rotating shift schedule comprising three shifts on, followed by three days off, and an additional 16 days of rest. This will include night shifts. The initial pay rate is set at £16.31 per hour, with potential increases to £24.05 upon transitioning to night shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct analysis and testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
- Assess analytical data to detect deviations in product quality.
- Ensure precise validation of analytical results.
- Characterize and investigate any non-conformances.
- Manage the operation, calibration, and maintenance of various equipment.
- Prior industrial experience as a technician or analyst in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in a time-sensitive manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001.
- Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
