Job Overview
The primary objective of this role is to execute the installation of fire detection and alarm systems. Additional skills in installing door access, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install both conventional and analogue addressable fire alarm systems with exceptional craftsmanship.
  • Install intruder, access control, and CCTV systems to a high standard (desirable).
  • Carry out small works for various types of life safety systems.
  • Comply with regulatory, fair trading, and competition rules relevant to the role, utilizing personal knowledge or seeking specialist support when necessary.
  • Consistently uphold company policies and best practices in security, focusing on the safeguarding of sensitive customer information.
  • Implement and adhere to the organization's information security protocols.
  • Protect company assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference.
  • Execute specific security processes or activities as directed by management.
  • Report security incidents or potential risks to the organization.
  • Understand client requirements and ensure all tasks are completed effectively.

Essential Qualifications
  • Strong expertise and knowledge in fire security.
  • Willingness to travel for work as needed.
  • Exceptional first-time resolution and risk management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Proven experience in fire engineering.
  • Experience in service and repair tasks.
  • Familiarity with conventional and addressable fire systems across various manufacturers' equipment.
  • Good installation practices.
  • Knowledge of integrating detection systems with other disciplines is a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of BS5839 standards is crucial.
  • Valid driving license.
  • FIA commissioning accreditations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • FIA Modules such as FD & A Advanced Installer and FD & A Advanced Designer.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with VESDA and other aspirating manufacturers.
  • Electrical background.
