Job Title: Trainee Digital Colourist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Trainee Digital Colourist to join our team at Sanderson Design Group plc. As a Trainee Digital Colourist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of colour matching and quality control in our digital colouration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with design teams to ensure accurate colour matching and allocation of initials.
- Familiarize and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the digital colouration area.
- Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in colour matching and production planning.
- Ability to carry out sample work and alter colours in CAD and BULK situations.
- Create and maintain standards and continuities throughout the department.
- Obtain a basic understanding of other processes throughout the digital area.
- Keep area supervisors up to date with work progress.
- Demonstrate good workflow throughout the area.
- Understand and follow Non-Conformance Report (NCR) procedure.
- Prioritize orders when requested.
- Liaise with customer services when required.
- Follow a planned structure to complete work to customer satisfaction.
- Complete spreadsheets to maintain data and other processes used for communication.
- Support and train others when needed on colouration processes.
- Support the digital team when and where required.
- Maintain good standards of housekeeping.
- Work in accordance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Carry out all other reasonable duties as requested.
Requirements
- Art and Design or Textiles studies or experience.
- Maths and English - minimum Grade C or equivalent.
- Computer literate with CAD/Photoshop experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of software systems.
- Organisational skills and management of own time.
- Team player.
- Excellent eye for colour and matching.
- Excellent attention to detail.
