The Role: Trustee

We are seeking a Trustee to join our Board of Directors. As a Trustee, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the organization pursues its stated objects and complies with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Defining goals and evaluating performance against agreed targets
  • Safeguarding the good name and values of the organization
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient administration of the organization
  • Protecting and managing the property of the charity and ensuring the proper investment of its funds
Key Responsibilities

As a Trustee, you will be expected to:

  • Regularly attend Board meetings and contribute to discussions
  • Respond to requests for review of information and comment within two weeks
  • Miss no more than three consecutive meetings without apology
  • Deliver agreed deliverables and tasks in a timely manner

  • An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship
