Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cumbria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management and a good understanding of civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and oversee cost planning, budgeting, and cost control processes.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to minimize project costs while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  3. Prepare and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations in accordance with project requirements.
  4. Analyze and report on project costs, risks, and budget performance.
  5. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  6. Ensure project compliance with regulations, standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying in a related field.
  3. Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Familiarity with project management software and tools.
