We are seeking an Assistant Manager who can forge strong connections with clients and deliver outstanding service. As a vital member of our team, you will oversee the daily management of the facility and provide care to children.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a children's residential care environment or supported living context and show a strong dedication to ensuring a nurturing childhood experience for the youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in fulfilling the home's goals
- Supervise and support staff to cater to the needs of the children
- Collaborate with other professionals to enhance outcomes for young individuals
- Provide guidance and support to team members
Candidate Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of management experience in a residential setting with youth
- Supportive demeanor towards young individuals and staff
- Organized and capable of leading and inspiring a team
- Creative with counseling and training abilities
- Education: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Willingness to pursue Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care
Skills and Expertise:
- Knowledge of CHR 2015 and Quality Standards
- Awareness of Equal Opportunities issues
- Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Children Act
- Strong team-building and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Additional Duties include:
- Planning and managing staff roles and responsibilities
- Overseeing recruitment and training of staff
- Ensuring efficient shift operations
- Providing consultation and support to team members
- Identifying and addressing training requirements
- Conducting staff evaluations and managing performance challenges
- Ensuring adherence to policies and Quality Standards
General Duties:
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of services and standards
- Drive company vehicles as necessary
- Work on a rotational basis to meet the needs of young individuals
- Manage resources and maintain financial documentation
- Engage in supervision and personal development
- Perform other assigned duties as required
