About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs in our Primary School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teaching staff in planning and preparing lessons and resources within the school curriculum.
  • Prepare and make resources for teaching and therapy staff.
  • Reinforce targets throughout the school day.
  • Support students within the class and during unstructured situations.
  • Support teaching and therapy staff in maintaining detailed case notes of all children seen.
  • Produce and maintain up-to-date pupils' profiles and behaviour plans.
  • Follow school procedures in reporting incidents and safeguarding concerns.
  • Act as a resource and support for other staff members working with the children.
  • Participate in supervision and support as required.
  • Maintain continuous professional development.
Requirements
  • Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
  • Current DBS or willingness to obtain one.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children with differing needs and abilities.
  • Previous experience of providing high-quality provision for pupils.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Keenness to be involved in all aspects of school life.
  • Proven track record of good working relationships and professionalism.
  • Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
