Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Continental. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial mechanical systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance activities to meet agreed schedules.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs to minimize unplanned process downtime and maximize plant availability.
  • Inspect Mechanical systems, equipment, components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Diagnose faults using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and take appropriate corrective measures.
  • Carry out installation, modifications and decommissioning tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance / industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of industrial plant and machinery including mechanical / pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Demonstrate understanding of site safety systems, including permit to work procedures, isolation methods and other company policies.
  • Apprentice trained technician with City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate or equivalent in Mechanical discipline.
