As a key member of the Stobart team, the Assistant Site Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail sites. Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Team Management: Supervise and motivate a team of staff, providing regular updates on responsibilities and new regulations.
- Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with customers, responding to their needs and concerns.
- Business Development: Proactively respond to market trends, generating new business opportunities and improving sales performance.
- Merchandising: Ensure visually appealing and effective merchandising, regularly evaluating and improving displays and promotions.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance contracts, conducting regular appraisals and providing training opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure accurate reporting of sales figures, wage hours, and stock take results, maintaining control of site costs and wage expenditure.
- Leadership: Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and promoting a positive team culture.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of supervising and motivating a team.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
- Qualifications: Food hygiene and health and safety understanding, with the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work in a high-pressure environment.
- Annual Leave: 20 days increasing to 25 days after 3 years service, excluding bank holidays.
