About the Role:

M/LK Education Search is pleased to be supporting a specialist school that supports young girls with various needs in the search for a High Level Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with the SEN Lead to ensure access arrangements and provision are suitable for students.
  2. Work under the supervision of the SEN Lead, Head of T&LA, and allocated teacher to plan and prepare work to deliver subject-specific lessons to small groups or for intervention.
  3. Take responsibility for the management of key areas within the school and management of other teaching support staff, including the allocation and monitoring of work and training (under the direction and supervision of the SEN Lead).
  4. Undertake small group teaching.
  5. Contribute to a programme of support for a student that may, at times, take place outside of school.
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
  1. GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  2. HLTA qualification or commitment to undergo training after probationary period.
  3. Strong experience of planning, managing, and implementing Attendance strategies within a school setting.
  4. Experience identifying interventions to raise attendance of pupils.
  5. Experience of teaching small groups/individuals.
  6. Experience of planning and monitoring progress of individual/small groups.
  7. Experience working directly with pupils and parents.
  8. Experience analysing data and producing reports and identifying key insights.
