Gillespie Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Forklift Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing repair and maintenance services for Electric, LPG, and Diesel forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage workload and prioritize jobs according to customer demands and company targets.
- Perform effective preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned breakdowns.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems efficiently and effectively.
- Complete and provide company documentation and records as required by the company management system.
- Communicate with customers to agree on remedial actions when necessary.
- Use a laptop and PDA to identify parts required and communicate requirements to the office team.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A time-served tradesperson in the engineering sector with a minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualifications.
- Skills in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
- The ability to develop and maintain customer relationships to provide excellent customer care.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving license.
