Join Our Team as a Charge Nurse in Forensic Mental Health

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RNMH) to join our team as a Charge Nurse in a 95-bedded forensic hospital in Abergavenny. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a more responsible role and support the ward manager in managing a secure ward with patients under the Mental Health Act.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for supporting the ward manager in managing a secure ward with patients who have a diagnosis of mental health, personality disorder, and/or learning disability needs. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to patients, and contribute to the development of the ward's policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • You need to be an RNMH with at least 2 years post-qualification UK experience within a forensic mental health setting
  • You need to hold a valid NMC PIN
  • Up-to-date training certificates
  • UK Resident
  • You need to have the right to work in the UK
  • Clean and clear DBS
