We are currently seeking a skilled professional to join our team at Niyaa People Ltd as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
This role involves working on various projects within the planned refurbishment programme for social housing, with a flexible working arrangement that includes home, office, and on-site responsibilities.
The successful candidate will lead a team of commercially minded professionals, tasked with analyzing information to accurately present and manage costs associated with refurbishment projects.
Key Qualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor position:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
- Familiarity with the social housing industry is advantageous.
- Experience in managing a small team of Quantity Surveyors while overseeing individual projects.
- Strong commercial insight and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in IT and office-related skills.
Core Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Support the Commercial Manager in effective financial oversight during the pre-commencement phase to mitigate risks and enhance target contributions.
- Play a crucial role within the site team to ensure the successful execution of each project.
- Conduct financial management and precise reporting in line with company protocols.
- Perform essential commercial duties such as managing bonus payments, subcontract procurement, site measurements, and both internal and external valuations.
