We are seeking a highly skilled Mixed Tax Senior to join our dynamic team at Michael Page Finance. As a Mixed Tax Senior, you will play a key role in providing high-quality tax services to our diverse client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns for individuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
- Calculate and advise on tax liabilities, ensuring clients are aware of their obligations and deadlines.
- Prepare capital gains tax computations and make claims for relief under SEIS, EIS, and VCT, ensuring clients receive the maximum benefit.
- Correspond with clients, HMRC, and other third parties, providing clear and concise advice and guidance.
- Prepare partnership and sole trader tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
- Monitor the compliance cycle for personal and corporate clients, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600s, including capital allowances claims, ensuring clients receive the maximum benefit.
- Prepare P11Ds, PSAs, CIS returns, and ERS returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist managers with ad hoc planning and advisory projects, providing expert tax advice and guidance.
- A professional qualification in tax or accountancy (ATT/ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent).
- Strong technical skills in both corporate and personal tax, with a deep understanding of tax legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with tax legislation and best practice.
- Experience within a professional services environment, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
