Our firm is a leading accountancy practice focused on serving owner-managed businesses throughout the UK. We are in search of a candidate with a solid background as a Senior Accounts Specialist within a professional accounting environment.


Key Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud-based accounting solutions, familiarity with software such as Iris and Xero, and must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.


Essential Attributes:
Successful candidates will exhibit strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal abilities, superior Excel skills, effective organizational and time management capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive accounts working files and draft financial statements.
  • Adhere to budgets established during the planning phase.
  • Generate preliminary tax computations and provisions for corporate accounts.
  • Ensure statutory disclosures are included in accordance with the company checklist.
  • Plan and oversee professional engagements for clients, adhering to the firm's standard operating procedures while identifying basic planning opportunities.
  • Possess a working knowledge of relevant computer programs.
  • Participate in training sessions and seminars to enhance both technical and personal development skills.
  • Hold either ACA or ACCA qualifications; however, part-qualified candidates may also be considered.

This position is office-based.
