About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Turner Lovell. As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing power electronics converters for industrial, marine, and renewable energy applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop power electronics converters to meet specific requirements
- Handle all circuit design aspects, including snubber, gating electronics, and thermal design
- Develop analysis and modeling tools for megawatt power electronic converter systems
- Test, evaluate, and optimize low and medium voltage power electronic systems
- Support project execution, including on-time, cost, and quality
- Assist tendering, testing, and commissioning teams
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field (Masters/PhD preferred)
- Expertise in power electronics converter design and electrical machines control methods
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor devices, gating electronics, snubber circuits, and thermal design
