About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Worker in the Haemato-oncology Department at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to registered nurses and the multi-professional team in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as administering medications, taking vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance knowledge and skills in patient care and healthcare services.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control and safeguarding processes.
Requirements
  • Good general education and literacy skills, with a willingness to work towards obtaining a National Care Certificate.
  • Experience of caring for patients, with a caring and supportive attitude.
  • Awareness and understanding of the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of infection control and safeguarding processes.
